Kabaev: Shakhtar is a good opponent, we have something to fight for with them

The winger emphasized the tension of the meeting with the Miners

Kyiv midfielder Dynamo Vladislav Kabaev after the match with Shakhtar (1:1) in the 11th round, the UPL focused on the colorful emotions that were present during the reporting meeting.

“We missed matches like this, we want to play matches like this as often as possible. It was our home match, the fans came. I think if it weren’t for the restrictions, there would be a full stadium. Impressions from the game remained mixed, because every time you want to win, especially against such a principled opponent as Shakhtar.”

“And in the moment with the missed ball, I didn’t finish the ball when serving from the corner mark. Therefore, the impression of the match was a little blurred. But I thank the team that did not give up and fought until the end. We showed that we have character, I think the fans liked the game.”

“I repeat, I would like to see more fights like this. For example, when we played in Europe against Roma, the pace of the game was noticeably higher, and it was also very interesting to play against Shakhtar. This is a good opponent, we have something to fight for with them, because we know what task we face.”

“Of course, matches with Shakhtar are always very tense. Even when our coach Alexander Shovkovsky was a player, there were many red cards and fights in matches with this opponent. The same thing happened when Yarmolenko played before he left Dynamo. That’s why people are waiting for this match, and we were waiting for it.”

“Today there were also sendings off, fouls, and many bright moments. Nobody wanted to lose, everyone understood who they were playing against. Once again I thank the guys for not giving in to their character. We continue to be ahead in the standings, we have not lost anything. But regarding the game there is something to work on and where to progress.”

In the standings, Dynamo is in first place, ahead of Alexandria in additional indicators. On November 3, Alexander Shovkovsky’s team will host Ingulets.
