Tomorrow, October 29, Ukrainian Football Association will meet with Ukrainian national futsal team. The event will take place at the Football House, starting at 11:00.
An awards ceremony will take place as part of the meeting. All players of the national team, which achieved a historical achievement – third place in Futsal World Cup 2024 in Uzbekistan – will receive insignia from the UAF President Andrey Shevchenko.
After this, a press conference will be held, which will be attended by the President of the Futsal Association of Ukraine Sergei Vladyko, the head coach of the national team Alexander Kosenko, the captain of the national futsal team Petr Shoturma, as well as his team colleagues Rostislav Semenchenko (one of the three best players of the World Cup) and Daniil Abakshin (second scorer of the tournament).
Let us remind you that the Blue and Yellow managed to achieve their highest achievement at the World Championships in their entire history – third place. Alexander Kosenko’s team defeated the French team in the bronze final with a score of 7:1. In the FIFA rankings, the Ukrainian futsal team rose to 9th place. The leader of the ranking is Brazil, which became the world champion for the sixth time.
