Bronze medalist at the 2019 World High Jump Championships Ilya Ivanyuk spoke about the first victory of the silver medalist of the world championship – 2017 Danila Lyssenko after disqualification.
Lyssenko took first place in the Cup of the Sverdlovsk region, the 25-year-old athlete showed a result of 2.31 m. Lyssenko was disqualified in the summer of 2018 for missing three doping tests. His suspension expired in early August.

Russian athletics has been under sanctions since 2015 over doping scandals. In July, the World Athletics Association approved 18 applications from Russian athletes for neutral status.
Spartakiad competitions are held simultaneously in 12 regions of Russia, more than 9,000 of the strongest Russian athletes will take part in them. The Spartakiad will end on October 2.
