The Ukrainian ski jumping team will miss the opening stages of the World Cup

Reason: busy schedule of events

Ukrainian ski jumping team will miss the starting stages World Cup 2024/25.

National team coach Vladimir Boshchuk told the details of the team’s preparation. According to him, the team will miss the stages in Finland.

“In all [Кубках мира]unfortunately, it won’t be possible to go out, because the schedule is tight, there are a lot of competitions for two months. It is very difficult for athletes to go through all the tournaments without any rest or absences. We’ll miss the competition in Ruka until the new year, and after that, most likely, we won’t go to Japan, and we’ll also miss the stage in Lakhta in the spring.”

The 28th World Cup will begin in Lillehammer, Norway on November 22. A total of 28 stages are planned. The blue-yellows will not perform at the stages in Finland (Ruka, November 9 – December 1; Lahti, March 20-23), as well as Japan (Saporro twice and Zao).

Let us remind you that Olympic champion Alexander Abramenko announced his retirement. The 2018 and 2022 Olympics medalist signed a contract as the head coach of the Ukrainian freestyle skiing team.
