The “Gypsy King” was tipped for a repeat fight with the Ukrainian.
Shane Fury, brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has spoken about his rematch against WBC, WBA and WBO title holder Oleksandr Usyk.
According to him, his relative should prepare himself for the second match so that the result of the first match does not repeat itself.
“Tyson boxed well that night. There were a few mistakes, but if he does the same in the rematch as he did the first night, we’ll have the same result. It was a close fight that could have gone either way.
If Tyson had tuned in, he would have had a different result. It’s not just a physical attitude through tactics. You have to set yourself up in your head and go to the end,” said Shane Fury in a commentary on iFL TV.
The rematch between Usik and Fury will take place on December 21 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
Fury’s promoter previously said what he needs to change to beat Usyk.
