The quarter final match took place in Cairo Intercontinental Cup 2024 – Egyptian Al Ahly destroyed houses Al Ain from the UAE (3:0).
In the 32nd minute, Al-Ahly’s Palestinian forward Wessam Abu Ali opened the scoring. After the break, the hosts’ advantage was doubled by midfielder Imam Ashur.
Afsha put an end to the match in stoppage time in the second half, converting a penalty.
The decisive matches of the tournament will take place in December. The winner of the Copa Libertadores, which will be determined on November 30, will play Pachuca in the second quarter-final, and Al Ahly has already qualified for the winner of this pairing.
The winner of this semi-final will play against Real Madrid on December 18, which has secured its place in the final in advance.
