“I respect the guys’ decision. I can’t say about Victoria, but Nikita ended her career for a number of reasons. Firstly, it’s age, secondly, her unhealthy back, thirdly, Katsalapov is a two-time Olympic champion, and the last is absence motivation,” Zhulin said.
The end of the careers of Nikita Katsalapov and Victoria Sinitsina became known on August 14. The skaters are not disclosing the reasons for their decision, but promise to continue to develop professionally by performing in various ice shows.
