Abed Balbo: Dovbik is a great center forward, but he needs help from the team

Artem should find synchronicity with his partners

Former striker Roma and the national team Argentina Abel Balbo spoke about the performances of the Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbik in the camp of the Wolves.

“I like Dovbik. I think he’s a great centre-forward. He holds the ball well, he heads well. He is a striker who needs help from the team, he is not the type of striker who creates chances.”

“He started well, but we will see him much better when the team finds some synchronicity and frequency in the opposition box.”

Let us remind you that Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbik officially moved to Roma from Girona in early August. Artem became the first Ukrainian in the history of Wolves. According to previously released information, the transfer cost the Romans 32-33 million euros and 5-6 million bonus payments.

This season, the Ukrainian has scored five goals and provided one assist in 12 matches for the Romans in all competitions. Artem also took 29th place in the voting for the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

Roma is in 12th position in the Serie A standings. Tomorrow, October 31, Ivan Juric’s team will play Torino at home.
