The player himself wants to get more gaming practice
Ukrainian goalkeeper Real Madrid Andrey Lunin dissatisfied with his position in the Blancos camp.
Lunin expects to get more playing time. The Ukrainian is also ready to consider a loan option in the upcoming transfer window.
The goalkeeper has two transfer offers in his hands, one of which is from a Premier League club. At the same time, both Lunin and Real are not considering a full-fledged transfer.
Last season, due to an injury to Thibaut Courtois, Andrei was a player in the main squad: 31 matches in all tournaments, 32 goals conceded, 12 clean sheets.
After Lunin’s successful play last season, the media reported offers to Andrei from Manchester United, Bayern and PSG (the Parisians were allegedly ready to pay 18 million euros for the goalkeeper). Chelsea was considering paying 12 million euros for Lunin and returning Kepa Arrizabalaga to the Madrid club.
Representatives of Atletico Madrid, Betis, Juventus, Aston Villa, Arsenal and Newcastle also got in touch with Real Madrid. The latter two were reportedly ready to pay 25 million euros for the Ukrainian. Manchester City also considered the Ukrainian as an alternative to Ederson.
In September, the Ukrainian officially extended his contract with Real Madrid. The new agreement runs until 2030.
This season, Andrei has appeared on the field three times wearing a Madrid club jersey. Lunin kept one clean sheet, but the Ukrainian also played in Real Madrid’s disastrous match with Barcelona (0:4).
On November 2, Carlo Ancelotti’s team is scheduled to play against Valencia, but it is in jeopardy. Real is in second place in the La Liga standings.
