The townspeople are counting on the midfielder from 2025
Manchester City rejected several requests for the midfielder’s further loan Claudio Echeverri.
Let us remind you that the 18-year-old midfielder signed a contract with the City until the summer of 2028. The Argentine remains in his native River Plate on loan and will join the new club in January 2025.
River was among the clubs that wanted to lease the player in the future. However, the townspeople consider Claudio as part of their long-term project, and are counting on him from 2025.
Echeverri has made 35 appearances for River Plate in all competitions this season. The midfielder scored four goals and gave three assists.
Manchester City leads the Premier League with 23 points. In their next match, the Citizens will play Tottenham on October 30 in the English League Cup. The meeting starts at 22:15.
