“There’s no need for drastic changes”: Fury revealed his plan for a rematch with Usik

The British ex-champion said how he will prepare for the second fight with the Ukrainian.

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has spoken about how he intends to have a rematch with WBC, WBA and WBO title holder Oleksandr Usik.

According to the British boxer, he does not plan to change his preparation for the rematch.

“In my last fight, I put in an incredible performance. And he won that fight by a thread, especially thanks to the ninth round, where Usyk won 10-8. So’ t what happens if I do the exact same thing, but there isn’t a round where the score is 10-8?

No drastic changes are needed. If a horse loses a race by a hair, it doesn’t start training and preparing differently. He will do the same thing as before, but maybe start faster. At this level, it’s all about small percentages. And it’s not like I’ve done much wrong. I can just be a little more focused and a little bit less sloppy,” Fury told iFL TV.

The rematch between Usik and Fury will take place on December 21 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.

Previously, Joshua’s promoter gave Fury advice ahead of his rematch with Usyk.
