Figure skater Margarita Bazylyuk won the short program in single skating at the third stage of the Russian Junior Grand Prix in Kazan.
Coach Eteri Tutberidze scored 75.11 points. In the short program, Bazylyuk performed a triple axel in a cascade with a triple toe loop. The second intermediate place is taken by Sofia Dzepka (71.54), who represents the school named after SA Zhuk. The leading trio is completed by another athlete from Khrustalny, Elizaveta Andreeva (69.24).
The athletes will present their free programs on November 1st.
In 2024, Bazylyuk won the singles competition at the Russian Junior Championships and also became the Russian show jumping champion in the individual and team competitions.
