In 2025, Elena Rybakina will work with the winner of Wimbledon 2001.
The fifth racket of the WTA women’s world ranking, Elena Rybakina, has found a new coach.
Starting in 2025, the 25-year-old representative of Kazakhstan will work with Goran Ivanisevic, who until March of this year was Novak Djokovic’s coach for six seasons.
“I look forward to this cooperation as I consider him a great champion and he has a lot of experience that I want to learn from,” The Athletic told Rybakina.
It is noteworthy that Ivanisevic won Wimbledon in 2001. He also became number two in the world, which was the best result of his career.
The 53-year-old Croatian next coached Marin Cilic, who won his only Grand Slam title at the 2014 US Open. In 2016, they stopped working together.
Let’s remember that in August Elena Rybakina broke up with her former coach Stefano Vukov.
