However, Red Bull decided to install a new power unit in the Dutchman’s car.

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen received a penalty in the form of losing five starting places at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

According to the official website of Formula 1, the Austrian team changed the power plant in the car of the three-time world champion on the stage in Sao Paulo.

This is Verstappen’s sixth engine in 2024. And because he exceeded the limit for the season (5 engines), the 27-year-old driver received a fine.

So, Verstappen will start the race at Interlagos from sixth place at best.
