The island team is qualifying for the 2026 World Cup

Famous former Manchester United striker Dwight York became the new head coach of the national team Trinidad and Tobago.

The ex-forward became the champion of England three times, won the Champions League and a number of cups with Manchester United, as well as other trophies with Aston Villa and Sydney. Dwight played 72 matches for the Trinidad and Tobago national team, scoring 18 goals.

York retired from football in 2009, his last club being Sunderland. Dwight later led Australia’s MacArthur in 2022-23.
