Japanese figure skater Wakaba Higuchi said she didn’t want to rush to put the triple axel back on the schedule, but work is underway on that.
Higuchi finished third in the short program at the ISU Grand Prix in Angers (France). The judges rated his performance at 66.98 points.
“I’m working on it, but the truth is if you put it in the program now and fall, it will affect the grades for the worse.” Therefore, now the task is to do everything as best as possible, and then we will see,” reports Higuchi’s words.
Higuchi, 23, is a 2022 Beijing Olympics silver medalist in the team competitions, a 2018 World Championships silver medalist in individual skating and a world team champion.
