Left Bank defender Sokolov underwent surgery and will return to training at the end of December

The footballer suffered a shoulder injury in the debut of the away match with Polesie, but played the match to the end

Left Bank suffered a serious loss of personnel. Defender Oleg Sokolov surgical intervention was required – he successfully underwent surgery on the shoulder joint.

The 25-year-old football player received an injury (separation of the upper part of the labrum of the shoulder joint) in the debut of the away match of the 10th round of the UPL against Polesie (0:0). Despite the injury, Oleg played the entire match.

Sokolov is one of the key players in Vitaly Pervak’s team. He played 11 matches without substitution this season (including the transition tournament for the right to participate in the Premier League). However, now the coach will have to do without his main right-back until the end of the year.

Oleg’s stitches will be removed in two weeks. He will have to wear a fixation bandage for a month, after which he will be able to start working out in the gym. Sokolov’s full return to training is expected at the end of December.

The defensive player returned to the Left Bank in February of this year, having transferred from Ternopil Niva. Before this, Sokolov played for the Kiev team from the beginning of 2021 to March 2022. Oleg is a graduate of Chernomorets, but he did not have the chance to play for the first team of the Sailors. the 2024/25 season became for the footballer, like for most of his teammates, his debut at the UPL level.

After 11 rounds, Left Bank, with eight points, is in 14th place (zone of transition matches). Pervak’s team has not won since September 1. The Kiev team will play their next match today, in Lviv against the Carpathians. Starts at 15:30.
