Qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix has been postponed until Sunday morning due to heavy rain.

The new start time for qualifying is 12:30 Kyiv time, the race starts at 17:30

Organizers Brazilian Grand Prix V Formula 1 changed the schedule for qualifying and the main race of the weekend due to heavy rain on Saturday.

Qualification will take place on Sunday, its start is scheduled for 07:30 am local time (12:30 Kyiv time). Start main race also moved to 17:30 Kyiv time.

Let us remind you that qualifying was supposed to take place on Saturday evening. However, heavy rain and water that remained on the track prevented the session from taking place. The safety car lost traction several times while checking the racing surface.

Let us remind you that the current champion and championship leader Max Verstappen will receive a five-place penalty on the starting grid at the main race of the Brazilian Grand Prix due to an engine change.

On Saturday, a sprint took place as part of the Brazilian Grand Prix. McLaren’s Lando Norris won the short race, with teammate Oscar Piastri finishing second. Charles Leclerc took third place – he was ahead of Max Verstappen in the race, but the Dutchman received a five-second penalty and moved to fourth place.
