The Azov club already has one failure to show up for the match against YUKSA behind them.
Midfielder FSK Mariupol Egor Demchenko commented on the situation around his club, which already has one absence from a match behind it First League.
“What was the situation in the club at the start of the season, given that we started the championship well? Yes, we started well thanks to the dedication of the players and coaches. We believed that something would work out here. At first, the delay in wages was small and we were promised every day that they would pay us soon. They said: “Wait,” but these were only promises.”
“Did the club management promise anything after our boycott of the game with YUKSA? No. After YUKSA there were no conversations at all! The President (Alexander Yaroshenko – approx.) abandoned the team altogether and stopped communicating. There wasn’t even money to hold a home game with Dinaz, but one of the good people helped the team at least organize the match…”
“I’m currently healing from an injury and therefore still have some discomfort. I also cannot answer whether I will play for FSK Mariupol. There’s not much time left. Let’s see what happens next. I only know that in the winter I will definitely be looking for a new team.”
Let us remind you that FSK Mariupol did not take part in the 11th round match against YUKSA due to a three-month salary arrears to the players. After that, Oleg Krasnoperov’s team defeated Dinaz (3:0) and was defeated by Zaporozhye Metallurg (0:1).
In September there was information that FSK Mariupol could acquire ex-defender of Shakhtar and the Ukrainian national team Yaroslav Rakitsky. Alexander Yaroshenko subsequently stated in an interview that he did not conduct any negotiations with Rakitsky on this subject.
Mariupol is in sixth place in Group B of the First League with 15 points. Oleg Krasnoperov’s team will play the next match today, November 3, in Sumy against Victoria. Let us remind you that according to the competition regulations, after two absences of a club from a match, the issue of its removal from the tournament will be considered.
