Former world heavyweight champion and current mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klichko said that he asked his brother, also a former heavyweight world champion, Wladimir Klitschkabout using his authority to help Ukraine.

“Vladimir joined the Troop. Now he is briefly in Germany, where he is negotiating military equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He uses his authority very powerfully – this concerns humanitarian support, economic support, support for military equipment.”

“All issues are more effectively resolved on a personal level, and not through official correspondence. To date, we have raised tens, if not hundreds of millions of euros from various countries and sources.”

“This is his area of ​​responsibility. I asked my brother to use his connections to help Ukraine. He also communicates a lot in the media, drawing the attention of the world to events in our country.”

“He left at the official invitation and on behalf, with the execution of all documents. At the beginning of next week, Vladimir returns to Kyiv. Now he has meetings in Germany that relate to assistance to Ukraine.”

“He is not going into politics, I have not heard such plans. Vladimir always says: “We only have one politician in our family.”

“But he is a caring citizen of his state and worries about the country and family. And even his little daughter was in Kyiv for some time, because this is the Motherland.”

Earlier it was reported that Vitali Klitschko became an honorary citizen of Warsaw. The award for his brother, who continues to lead Kyiv during martial law, was received by his brother Vladimir.

Earlier, Klitschko Sr. won the Prize for Excellence in Sports (ESPY). The Ukrainian received the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage.

Vitali Klitschko and his brother Vladimir remained in Ukraine and are defending the country from the invasion of Russian invaders. Ukraine is opposing the military aggression of the Russian Federation for the 173rd day.
