Gulinelli’s team beat Zhytichi-Polesie in three sets
Epicenter-Podolyany beat Zhitich-Polesie and conquered Ukrainian Volleyball Super Cup 2024 – 3:0.
Since last season’s Ukrainian champion Prometheus was disbanded in the summer, the trophy was played between the silver and bronze medalists of the 2023/24 championship.
Flavio Gulinelli’s team dominated in each of the sets, not allowing the opponent to get close to the score.
Note that the team from Gorodok won the Super Cup for the second time in a row. In October 2023, Epicenter-Podolyany won the honorary trophy for the first time in their history, beating Prometheus in four sets (3:1).
In March of this year, Epicenter-Podolyany, in a dramatic final with the same Prometheus, became the winners of the Ukrainian Cup.
This season, Gulinelli’s team made a successful start in the Challenge Cup, defeating Estonian Pärnu twice in the 1/32 finals (3:0, 3:1). In the next stage, the Ukrainian team will compete with the Bulgarian CSKA (Sofia). The matches of the 1/16 finals are scheduled for November 12-14 and November 19-21, respectively.
