The final match of the 10th round has ended nuclear submarine — Fulham won an incredible strong-willed victory at home over Brentford (2:1).
The scoring was opened midway through the first half by the visiting German midfielder Vitali Janelt. The Summer Residents bounced back in the second stoppage minute of the second half – Harry Wilson scored. But Fulham did not stop there – the same Wilson scored the second goal against Mark Flekken in the seventh minute of stoppage time, after which the final whistle sounded.
Brentford’s Ukrainian midfielder Yegor Yarmolyuk came on as a substitute at the end of the match, right between his team’s two conceded goals.
Today’s result moves Fulham up to 9th place in the table, while Brentford drops to 12th place.
Fulham will play away against Crystal Palace in the next round, and Brentford will host Ilya Zabarny’s Bournemouth at home. Both fights will take place on Saturday, November 9.
