Vice President of the Russian Swimming Federation (FVVSR) Olga Brusnikina said that Russian athletes will perform in the summer of 2025 at the Open Championships in Hungary.
According to the rules for admission to neutral status, Russians can only participate solo in synchronized swimming competitions.
— We received an invitation from the Hungarian federation to participate in their open championships. We made a request about the possibility of the Russian national team participating in these competitions and received a response that Russian athletes can participate in them without any restrictions and can use the symbols and all the necessary attributes. So, in this context, of course, our team will be happy to participate in the competition, and we will do everything possible for that. But it is difficult to say what the situation will be in spring and summer,” Brusnikina told .
The performance is expected to take place in the summer of 2025.
