Oscar Piastri may have questions about the “gift” of winning the Brazilian sprint.
As the season progressed, Lando Norris (McLaren) became Max Verstappen’s (Red Bull) main competitor in the fight for the championship title.
The British team even used team orders to improve their rider’s chances. So, Oscar Piastri was asked to give Norris a sprint victory during the stage in Brazil.

However, after Lando’s failure at the Grand Prix, Orange boss Andrea Stella said that in fact Norris’ title was never the team’s main priority.
“From the point of view of the constructors’ championship, I don’t think anything (the result in Brazil) changes. That is always our priority. Even if there is a question about supporting a particular driver, it is always secondary to maximizing the constructors’ championship”, quotes Stella Motorsport.
“When it comes to the drivers’ standings, I don’t think Lando was under any particular pressure. We enjoyed the race, although sometimes there seemed to be mistakes here or there.”

“When a car locks up like it did in Brazil, I don’t look at the driver, I look at why the car kept locking the front wheels in those conditions. I don’t think the pressure is a big reason.”
“Mathematically, we are still in the race for the title, but I think Lando and Oscar will go to the next races just to win them. The constructors’ championship remains and will always be our priority.”
We remind you that based on the results of the next Grand Prix, which will be held in Las Vegas, Max Verstappen can become a four-time world champion.
