The International Cyclist Union (UCI) has blacklisted cyclists from the CSKA team who participated in the Tour du Faso, according to the UCI website.
The list included Russians Dmitry Eroshkin, Artem Gomozkov, Kirill Kapustin, Evgeny Kazanov, Anton Popov, Mamyr Stash and Anton Vorobyov. Gomozkov, Kapustin, Vorobyov, Popov, Stash and Nikita Martynov took part in the “Tour du Faso”.
Previously, the UCI removed this race from the calendar due to the fact that the riders participating in it represented CSKA, which is against the rules regarding the performance of Russian athletes in competitions under the auspices of the organization. The union also noted that disciplinary decisions regarding the team’s participation are possible.
