Tyson’s trainer: Mike is much better than he was in the fight against Roy Jones four years ago

Cordeiro is confident that Mike only needs to hit Jake once

Trainer of a boxing legend Mike Tyson Rafael Cordeiro spoke about the form of his ward a week before his fight with a Youtube blogger and boxer Jake Paul.

“Mike is a lot better than he was against Roy. Four years later, at 58, he is better than he was at 54. He saw all the right and wrong actions and corrected them. This is the beauty of combat. His energy is good. We are at the perfect time and in the perfect place. Mike put it all together, mentally and physically. We’re very excited.”

“He improves his techniques in training and gets better every day. His defense, his strength, his speed, his stamina, his conditioning – everything he needs to put on a great show. The only guarantee we have is that Mike will decide to kill or die. He will hunt this guy like crazy. He just needs one touch. If Mike touched him, it would be over. And the proof will be on November 15th.”

The fight between “Iron Mike” and Jake Paul will take place on November 15th. The event will take place in Arlington, Texas, at AT&T Stadium.

On June 30, Iron Mike turned 58 years old. In November 2020, Tyson had an exhibition fight with former world champion in five weight categories, Roy Jones. The match ended in a draw. On the undercard of the event, Jake Paul knocked out Nate Robinson.

Tyson had his last professional fight in 2005. Mike lost by TKO in the sixth round to Irishman Kevin McBride.
