Figure skater Frolova: “I plan to perform on the world stage, so I need to prepare for other time zones”

Figure skater Anna Frolova said she wanted to be prepared to compete in regions with different time zones, as she plans to compete internationally in the future.

The third stage of the Russian Grand Prix began on Saturday in Krasnoyarsk. Frolova scored 74.68 points and took first place after the short program. Second – Sofya Muravyova (73.47), third – Sofya Akatieva (65.37).

— I am satisfied with the rental. It’s not perfect; already during the performance I understood where I could have done better. In Magnitogorsk, the rental technique was better and safer. There were some rough edges in the steps.

— Is it more difficult for you in the second stage?

—Perhaps, morally. But physically too, I hope there will be enough for the free program.

— There is a serious queue of participants here, was that additional motivation?

– No, I’m happy to see everyone. There is a positive atmosphere in the locker room, we can chat and laugh with the girls.

— You have already been to Krasnoyarsk for the first time, does that add emotion?

— Emotions, yes, but no trust. No one will give a good rating for a good performance last year.

— Have you adapted to Krasnoyarsk?

— This is the fifth time I’ve played here, but I still haven’t adapted. There is no way to remove the time difference. I plan to perform on the world stage, in America there is a different time zone, I have to prepare for it.

— Not all competitors skated cleanly. Did you win or did your opponents lose?

— A trick question that cannot be answered correctly. We all train for days, we have fans and villains. You can’t bring someone up and put someone down. We are all experiencing the same thing, I wish everyone good luck tomorrow, ”reports the correspondent of , reporting Frolova’s words.
