Figure skater Anna Frolova stated that the presence of star athletes Alina Zagitova , Anna Shcherbakova , Eugene Medvedeva And Alexandra Ignatova gave him motivation during the third stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk.

On Sunday, Frolova scored 218.91 points and won gold at the Krasnoyarsk stage. Second was Alina Gorbacheva (210.36), third was Sofya Akatieva (208.63).

“I don’t want to brag, I’m starting to feel uncomfortable.” We must not relax and win more, but I am satisfied with myself. It was more difficult here than in Magnitogorsk, not without mistakes, but we managed to skate well. With wrestling, with character, I like such performances. I’m happy to be able to cope and continue to hang on, even if there are few opportunities.

— There are a lot of nice athletes and beautiful girls here, like Ignatova, Zagitova, Medvedeva, Shcherbakova. Well, I had to show myself to them. They’re cool, it’s great that they’re there, it’s motivating too.

— You came out last, didn’t the thoughts on the pedestal bother you?

— I have not set myself any task here regarding the location, as always. I haven’t done this for four years, it’s a losing tactic for me. We had to make our elements no matter what, even if the ice was filled with concrete. The only thing is that I had to wait a long time, I was waiting for my performance with a low start.

— Any ideas for studying quadruples?

“I train and do the work that the coaching staff gives me. If they propose it, I will support them. Alina Gorbacheva did a great job, she landed a quadruple Salchow, passing me in the free skate. She does them easily, she’s cool,” reports the correspondent.

Frolova is the winner of the first stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Magnitogorsk.
