The coach of the American champion appreciates the rematch with the Ukrainian.
Derek Ennis, father and coach of IBF welterweight world champion Jaron Ennis, commented on his win over Karen Chukhajyan in the rematch.
According to him, his son does not want to fight the Ukrainian a second time and has no particular motivation for this fight.
“Jaron won almost all the rounds, but he wasn’t as smart as before. I don’t think he was particularly tuned in to Chukhajian. And he didn’t want to fight him anyway because of what happened in the first fight. You saw what he was doing that made Jaron angry because this man kept touching and holding him.
Jaron defeated him, but was unable to finish him off. This is a skilled man, he knows how to tie you up. That’s what he did,” Derek Ennis told Boxing News.
