Figure skater Alina Gorbacheva said she was satisfied with her performance in the third stage of the Russian Figure Skating Grand Prix, despite the mistakes made in the short program.
Gorbacheva scored 210.36 points in the short and free program and took second place at the third stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk. Anna Frolova won (218.91), Sofya Akatieva finished third (208.63).
“I have mixed emotions, I’m happier because after the short program I was sixth. Yesterday I was shocked by my fall, because in training I skate very cleanly, I get the Lutz 50 out of 50 times. Today I skated well, I’m going to work on my Salchow, I want to add one more and in the future I will do two per program. In general, emotions from the start are more positive.
— How did you prepare for the rental today?
— Morning practice didn’t go very well, maybe that helped because I was nervous during practice. Then it calmed down and I was calm about the rental.
—Are you going to two Salchows?
“I want to show two clean Salchows and I’m going.” There is motivation to progress, to work on the elements and the rotation, and I have already drawn certain conclusions.
— Has the time difference had a significant impact in Krasnoyarsk?
— The older we get, the more difficult it is to rebuild. I played here when I was little at Spartakiade, it was easy then. Here, the body no longer sleeps, but the brain wants to go back to bed,” reports the correspondent of , reporting Gorbatcheva’s words.
