Atalanta won a strong-willed victory over Udinese and caught up on points with leading Napoli

Gian Piero Gasperini’s team was inferior at the end of the first half, but was able to turn the tide of the game after the break

IN Bergamo the 12th round match took place Serie AAtalanta won a strong-willed victory over Udinese (2:1).

The Friulians opened the scoring just before the break – Ivorian defender Hassan Camara scored. Atalanta turned the tide of the match thanks to a striking start to the second half – Mario Pasalic scored first, after which Udinese centerback Isaac Toure scored an own goal in the 60th minute.

Atalanta’s league winning streak has now reached six matches. The last time Gian Piero Gasperini’s team lost points in Serie A was back on September 28 in an away game against Bologna (1:1). In the standings, Atalanta is level on points with the leading Napoli (both clubs have 25 points each), but the Neapolitans will play their match of the 12th round tonight against Inter.

Udinese, in turn, after an enchanting start to the season, significantly slowed down. The Friulians lost six of their last eight matches, currently occupying 8th place in the standings.

Atalanta will play their next match on November 23rd away against Parma, and Udinese will play away against Empoli two days later.
