Veres, under the leadership of Shandruk, yesterday won a confident home victory over Rukh (2:0). The club from Rivne scored both goals in the middle of the first half through the efforts of Vitaly Dakhnovsky and Luan. Thanks to this victory, Veres rose to 8th place in the UPL standings.
Niva T, in turn, beat the leader of Group A of the First League – Agribusiness (1:0) on the road the day before yesterday. For Yuri Virt’s team, this victory was the second in a row and allowed them to rise to 5th place in the table.
On November 16, Niva will hold the final official match of this year – it will host Podolia in Ternopil.
After the international break for national team matches, Veres will play against one of the UPL leaders, Alexandria, on November 24.
