In the qualifying final, the Ukrainian defeated the Dutchman Wisker in three sets
Ukrainian tennis player Vitaly Sachko successfully completed the series tournament qualification ATP Challenger in French Lyon. Our compatriot made it into the main draw thanks to his victory over Nils Wisker from the Netherlands.
The match lasted two hours and 25 minutes. Sachko confidently won the first set, making three breaks against one – 6:3. The second game turned out to be the most intense: Vitaly led 5:4 and 6:5, missed a total of six match points, but in the tiebreaker Whisker managed to level the score in sets – 7:2.
The fate of the third game was decided by a single break point, which the representative of Ukraine converted with the score 3:3. Vitaly did not miss this advantage and brought the match to a victorious end.
Earlier, in the qualifying semi-finals, Sachko confidently beat Frenchman Geoffrey Blancano (6:2, 6:4).
Let us remind you that in the updated ATP rankings today, Vitaly lost 21 positions and dropped into the fifth hundred. The strongest tennis player in Ukraine remains Vadim Ursu – 326th place.
