The last participant in the event will be determined on November 30 after the Copa Libertadores final between Atlético Mineiro and Botafogo
FIFA officially announced that the draw Club World Cup 2025 will take place on December 5 in Miami. Starts at 13:00 local time or 20:00 Kyiv time.
By the time the draw begins, all 32 participants in the historic tournament will be known. The last of them will be determined on November 30, after the Copa Libertadores final between the Brazilian Atletico Mineiro and Botafogo.
Earlier it became known that Inter Miami has joined the list of participants in the 2025 Club World Cup, for which, among others, Ukrainian Sergei Krivtsov and Argentinean Lionel Messi play. This club took the quota intended for teams representing the hosts of the event, as the best representative of the MLS 2024 regular season.
The Club World Championship in the new format will be held from June 15 to July 13, 2025. The tournament will take place in the USA, and 32 clubs (8 groups of 4 teams each) from six confederations will take part.
According to the rules, more than two clubs from one country cannot enter the tournament, unless they win the Champions League. The final of the tournament will take place in New York at MetLife Stadium. The stadium seats 82,500 and is home to the NFL’s New York Giants and New York Jets.
Let us remind you that all 12 participants of the 2025 World Cup from Europe have already been decided: Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, PSG, Inter, Porto, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Salzburg.
Many are unhappy with the holding of the 2025 World Cup in the summer. The European Leagues (EL), FIFPRO Europe (the International Federation of Professional Footballers’ Associations) and the Spanish La Liga filed a complaint against the FIFA international calendar, and the head of La Liga, Javier Tebas, called for the cancellation of the Club World Cup.
