Decision in the case of deprivation of the medalist at the World Ice Dancing Championships Margarita Drobiazko Lithuanian citizenship will be announced on December 10, reports lnk.lt.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda previously signed a decree revoking Drobiazko’s Lithuanian citizenship. In October, we learned that the 52-year-old former skater had filed a complaint against this decision. On Tuesday, she participated in an online hearing.
Drobyazko was born in Moscow, but after the collapse of the USSR she began competing for Lithuania with Povilas Vanagas. Together they won bronze at the 2000 World Championships and twice finished third at the European Championships (2000, 2006).
