The blue-yellows have key matches this year
National team debutant Ukraine, Brentford midfielder Egor Yarmolyuk commented on his call to the national team for the upcoming matches Division B1 of the Nations League 2024/25.
“They received me well. Players, coaches. They talked to me, received me well and congratulated me.”
“It will be a success for me to make my debut for the national team and win both games.”
“Number for matches? It’s too early to think about this. Since I’m the youngest, I’ll take the one they give me.”
The national team’s initial roster for the November matches against Georgia and Albania included 25 players. However, goalkeeper Andrei Lunin (family circumstances), midfielders Viktor Tsygankov (injury) and Vitaly Buyalsky (injury) will not help the national team. It was also reported that the participation of forward Artem Dovbik is in question.
Now Sergei Rebrov’s team is working in Belek, Turkey. The blue-yellows will train there until November 15, after which they will go to Batumi. On Saturday, November 16, Ukraine will play with the Georgian national team. The next day, the blue-yellows will travel to Tirana, where they will meet Albania on November 19.
The Ukrainian national team has four points and takes last place in Group 1 of Division B of the League of Nations.
