Willie received credit from the Georgian federation
Georgian Football Federation announced the extension of the agreement with the coach of the country’s main team Willy Sagnolem.
The new agreement runs until 2028. Let us remind you that the Frenchman will lead the national team in 2021.
Sagnol is known for his performances for Bayern (2000-2009), and he also played for Saint-Etienne and Monaco. After finishing his football career, Willy managed the French youth team, Bordeaux, and also worked in Bavaria.
Georgia, under the leadership of Sagnol, reached Euro 2024, where it managed to make it to the 1/8 finals. In 42 matches with the Frenchman, Sakartvelo achieved 20 victories.
Georgia is now Ukraine’s rival in Division B1 of the Nations League. The Georgian team takes second place in the standings. On Saturday, November 16, Sagnol’s team will play a head-to-head match with Sergei Rebrov’s team.
