Forward Tottenham Son Heung-min is close to extending his contract with the club until the summer of 2026.
The player’s current agreement with Spurs ends at the end of this season.
Son Heung-min has been performing in Europe throughout his professional career. He devoted five years to the German Hamburg and Bayer, and since 2015 he has represented Tottenham (more than 400 matches, 165 goals and 87 assists). The forward played 129 matches for the South Korean national team and scored 49 goals. He has 8 fights and 10 goals left to reach Boom Kun Cha’s absolute record.
In February of this year, Son was recognized as the best Asian football player of all time by the British publication FourFourTwo. Second place went to the aforementioned Bum Kun Cha.
This fall, Son spent about five weeks in the infirmary, first recovering from a hamstring injury and then having problems with his hip.
In total, this season the 32-year-old Korean striker played 11 matches in all tournaments, recording 3 goals and 4 assists.
Tottenham will play their next match on November 23rd away against Manchester City.
