Figure skaters Zoya Kovyazina and Artemy Mokhov, who took second place at the Russian Junior Grand Prix stage in Moscow, said that they were well prepared for the start, but could not pull yourself together at the right time.

Kovyazina and Mokhov took second place in pair skating with a score of 180.93 points. Polina Shesheleva and Egor Karnaukhov (190.26) took first place, Olga Sabada and Pavel Astakhov took third (179.24).

— How do you rate your performance?

Mokhov: We succeeded in the short program, but we did not succeed in the free program. I didn’t like the rental. I don’t know why, we were ready. I didn’t get together at the right time. Maybe the leadership after the short program had an impact, it’s hard to say.

— Tell us about the production of your programs?

Mokhov: Georgy Vladimirovich Pokhilyuk choreographed the free program for us. They came up with an idea and we liked it. An unusual idea. Both the second assessment and the elements must be taken.

— Despite the mistakes, you skated at high speed. How to achieve this effect?

Mokhov: You need to understand that the program includes not only elements, but also skating. Even if something didn’t work out, you still have to skate well so as not to fall too far behind, do your best and try.

—What are you going to focus on now?

Mokhov: Above the purity of the elements: more jumping and skating programs.
