“Iron Mike” turned out to be a little heavier than his opponent
Legendary former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and YouTuber, boxer Jake Paul held an official weigh-in ceremony before their fight.
The fighters showed almost equal weight, “Iron Mike” turned out to be slightly heavier. Tyson recorded 103.6 kilograms (228.4 pounds) on the scales, Paul – 103.06 kg (227.2 pounds).
Let us remind you that among other events of the boxing evening there will be a rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano for the title of undisputed junior welterweight champion. Both athletes showed identical weights of 62.32 kilograms (137.4 lb).
During the weigh-in ceremony, another incident occurred when the fighters were again brought to a battle of glances. Tyson was angered by Paul, and Mike hit his future opponent in the face.
The long-awaited fight will take place on the night of November 15-16 in Arlington, Texas, at the AT&T Stadium arena. The approximate start time is 6 a.m. Kyiv time.
On June 30, Iron Mike turned 58 years old. In November 2020, Tyson had an exhibition fight with former world champion in five weight categories, Roy Jones. The match ended in a draw. On the undercard of the event, Jake Paul knocked out Nate Robinson.
Tyson had his last professional fight in 2005. Mike lost by TKO in the sixth round to Irishman Kevin McBride.
