Maria Kiseleva – about the participation of Russians in the Hungarian championships: “We are preparing, we must show our best team”

Triple Olympic synchronized swimming champion Maria Kiseleva told that Russian athletes are preparing for the Hungarian Open Championships.

Earlier, Vice President of the Russian Swimming Federation (FWWSR) Olga Brusnikina told that Russian athletes will perform in the summer of 2025 at the Open Championships in Hungary.

— We are very happy that our team can compete in Hungary. The most important thing is under your own flag and with your own anthem. We are preparing, we have to show our best side. Everyone works.

— Can we soon be allowed to participate in international competitions?

– Certainly. Sooner or later, sport will stay out of politics. We will play under our own flag and our own anthem. We are doing everything to show maximum results and remain the world leaders in synchronized swimming,” Kiseleva told .

Russian athletes have been suspended from international competitions since 2022 due to the situation in Ukraine.
