The blue-yellows will compete for third place with England in the final match
Ukrainian women’s beach soccer team lost Brazil in the final round of the group round of the tournament Neom Beach Soccer Cup 2024.
The first period was successful for the Ukrainians. The blue-and-yellows opened the scoring after an own goal by Dani Barbosa, then Yulia Kostyuk scored the second goal. The Brazilians pulled one goal back before the first break and scored twice in the second period.
Anastasia Tereh equalized the score, and at the beginning of the third period, Alexandra Skibina again brought the Ukrainians ahead. However, Brazil responded with two goals from Barbosa and snatched victory.
Let us remind you that in the first round the Ukrainians lost to Spain (1:6) and then beat the English team (4:2). With three points to their name, Yuri Klimenko’s team took third place in the group stage.
In the final match, the Ukrainian team will compete for third place in the tournament with England. Brazil and Spain will meet in the final.
