Extravagant promoter sympathizes with Iron Mike and doesn’t consider Jake Paul a real boxer
Famous American promoter Don King shared his opinion about the upcoming fight between the boxing legend Mike Tyson and YouTube blogger, boxer Jake Paul.
“They call him Iron Mike because he comes to win. He has the same attitude that Donald Trump and I have—never give up, never back down, never quit. I like this man. I have no problem with him and the nonsense they talk about.”
“Jake Paul is not a boxer. He is an entertaining fighter who has a huge audience. These are two different categories – oranges and apples. They don’t match. Do you know what I mean? Let’s see what can be and what will happen… I have no opinion [о том, как будет развиваться бой]. There is no better fighter on the planet than Mike Tyson. They play this game. Good luck to them in whatever they do. If people are happy, then I’m happy.”

The long-awaited fight will take place on the night of November 15-16 in Arlington, Texas, at the AT&T Stadium arena. The approximate start time is 6 a.m. Kyiv time.
On June 30, Iron Mike turned 58 years old. In November 2020, Tyson had an exhibition fight with former world champion in five weight categories, Roy Jones. The match ended in a draw. On the undercard of the event, Jake Paul knocked out Nate Robinson.
Tyson had his last professional fight in 2005. Mike lost by TKO in the sixth round to Irishman Kevin McBride.
