On the night of November 16-17, Jones will make his first defense of the heavyweight title.
The weigh-in ceremony for the UFC heavyweight world champion took place Jon Jones and ex-MMA champion Stipe Miocic on the eve of their fight on the show UFC 309.
Jones weighed 237.6 pounds or 107.5 kilograms. Miocic was slightly heavier at 248.6 pounds (112.5 kg).
The title match will take place in New York at the Madison Square Garden arena on the night of November 16-17. The fight between Jones and Miocic (tentative start – 4 a.m. Kyiv time) will be the main event of the UFC 309 show. Among other fights of the event, the rematch of Michael Chandler against Charles Oliveira has been confirmed.
Jones and Miocic planned to fight in 2023. However, the fight fell through due to an injury to the American.
Jon Jones will make his first defense of the heavyweight title, which the American won in March 2023. Miocic, 42, last fought in 2021, losing the title to Francis Ngannou.
