Guardiola has agreed a contract extension with Manchester City until the summer of 2026

An official announcement of the deal is expected soon

Head coach Manchester City Pep Guardiola agreed on a contract extension with the club until the summer of 2026.

The deal is said to be 99% complete with an official announcement coming soon.

Guardiola was vague about his future at City this summer, saying he was “closer to leaving than staying” and that he certainly had no intention of coaching City for another eight years.

Guardiola has been in charge of Manchester City since 2016. Under the leadership of the Spaniard, the Citizens became champions of England six times, won two FA Cups and four English League Cups, won the Champions League, the Club World Cup, and also won a number of other trophies (18 in total).

Manchester City will play their next match on November 23 at home against Tottenham.
