WBA heavyweight world champion Mexican Gilberto Ramirez (47-1, 30 KOs) won the unification fight with WBO belt holder Briton Chris Billam-Smith (20-2, 13 KOs).
The fight took place on Sunday night, November 17, at The Venue arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which was the main event of the night of boxing from the promotion company Golden Boy Promotions.
The Mexican boxer gained an advantage almost from the beginning of the confrontation, did not allow his British opponent to seize the initiative, and brought the fight to a logical victory.

In the end, Ramirez won the fight by unanimous decision with a score of 116-112, 116-112, 116-113.

The Mexican champion also added the WBO heavyweight belt to his WBA title.
