Team Slovakia beat Australia and reached the semi-finals Billie Jean King Cup 2024 – 2:0.
In the first match, Victoria Grunchakova defeated Kimberly Birrell in a tense fight. The Slovakia snatched the first set, the second was left to the Australian, who won the tiebreaker. In the decisive game, Grunchakova managed to take two of her opponent’s serves and brought the team the first point.
In the second match, Rebecca Shramkova beat Ajla Tomljanovic. Unlike the match between Grunchakova and Birrell, there was no fight here. Shramkova allowed her opponent to take only three games, spending a little over an hour on the game.
