The Ukrainian judo team is the vice-champion of Europe U-23 in the mixed team tournament

In the final match, the Ukrainian team lost to Georgia (3:4)

Ukrainian national judo team – European vice-champion U-23 in the mixed team tournament.

The Ukrainian team started with a victory over Bulgaria (4:2), then in the 1/4 finals it was defeated by Hungary (4:0), and in the 1/2 finals by the Netherlands (4:1).

In the final match, the Ukrainian national team met with Georgia, losing to it minimally with a score of 3:4.

As part of the Ukrainian national team, the following became European vice-champions: Anastasia Chizhevskaya, Sofia Bordinskikh, Olga Tsimko, Anna Oleynik-Korneyko, Diana Semchenko, Anna Kazakova, Sergey Nebotov, Nikita Goloborodko, Vladislav Kolobov, Timur Valeev, Nikolay Gribik.

It is also worth noting that on the first day of competition, three Ukrainian judokas won medals in the individual tournament – Diana Semchenko won silver (weight category over 78 kg), Yulia Kurchenko — bronze, (up to 78 kg), Nikita Yudanov — bronze (up to 100 kg).

The European U-23 Championship was held in the Polish city of Pyla. More than 300 judokas from 36 countries of the continent took part in the competition.
