Mo Farah, a four-time Olympic track and field champion, stopped thieves from stealing his mobile phone by chasing a car, reports the Daily Mail.
The incident happened while Farah was jogging with his wife Tanya in a closed area in Surrey, England. The athlete left the device on the side of the road, intending to retrieve it at the end of the race.
The van arrived and stopped near the telephone, one of the two men in the car got out and retrieved it, after which they attempted to flee. Farah, 41, began chasing the car and quickly caught up with the thieves who, as stated, “realized who they were dealing with and returned the phone.” It should be noted that an investigation has been opened into the incident.
Farah won gold in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters at the Olympic Games in London and Rio de Janeiro, and the Briton is also a six-time world champion. He retired last September.
