Former WBA super middleweight champion Callum Smith (29-2, 21 KOs) will return to the ring on November 30. This will happen in Birminghamat Resorts World Arena.
The Briton has been announced for the event, the central event of which will be the fight between Sunny Edwards And Galalem Yafaem. Callum’s opponent has not yet been announced.
Smith now represents the light heavyweight division, in which he already suffered a TKO loss to Artur Beterbiev in January of this year. In that fight, which took place in Quebec, the WBC, IBF and WBO titles were at stake. Before this, the Briton had not boxed for a year and a half, and the knockout defeat was the first in his professional career.
Callum previously competed in the super middleweight division for a long time. In this division, he suffered the first defeat in his professional career – from Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (by decision) in December 2020.
